This workshop is suitable both for beginners and students who have some experience of wood engraving. Students will be introduced to the various tools and materials, and cover some of the technical aspects: mark making, cutting a block, designing for the medium, transferring a design to the block and printing. This workshop will allow you to develop your own style of working.

Tutor David Peduzzi studied graphic design at Bath Academy of Art, graduating in 1979. He made his first wood engraving in 1984, and has exhibited at the Society of Wood Engravers annual exhibition and in the 2015 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. After a 25 year career in design and publishing he is now a freelance artist and designer, with a particular interest in black and white media. See more of his work here.
